Communications Manager

Location: Delhi-NCR

 
 

We're looking for a social media communications manager who believes in building communities, is naturally organized, affable and detail-oriented with strong writing skills, and can navigate a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate is obsessed with online video, and internet culture and good copy. They should be able to understand and summarize how and why certain content pieces or campaigns blow up, how they were amplified, where they took off, what makes them special and worth sharing.

You will:

  • Work together to create compelling communication products that will support earned coverage conversion across verticals
  • Work on promoting different PLUC platforms and campaigns
  • Use knowledge of Internet culture and user behavior to present our content in the most shareable way
  • Support strategy for growth of PLUC's existing social media pages and expand our work on to other emerging social platforms
  • Build campaigns and grow communities, both existing and new
  • Manage social coverage during major PLUC events and training sessions
  • Manage correspondence with Digital and PR agencies and express the campaigns views creatively
  • Analyze and assess performance across social media channels
  • Experiment with new formats and frames that resonate with Indian internet users
  • Assist in the development of brand collaterals for internal and external communications
  • Support the implementation of campaign strategies and monitor their success
  • Assist in strategic outreach and maintain correspondence with media, influencers, micro influencers and other stakeholders to help gain visibility for PLUC platforms, shows, creators and key content pieces
  • Play an active role in gathering market/ industry insights
  • Attend relevant webinars, industry events and conferences to supplement market knowledge and network

You should have:

  • Proven work experience with an agency or journalism background. Minimum 2 - 3 years
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and multitasking and interpersonal skills
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
  • Knowledge of the online video ecosystem, and experience with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Sharechat, DailyHunt as well as short video apps
  • Deep enthusiasm for experimenting with content and strategy to improve for essential metrics
  • Basic understanding of scripting for a digital audience and elementary video production skills will be a bonus.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced digital environment
  • Basic understanding of the media and PR ecosystem in India
  • Passionate about communications and creator empowerment
